Alfredo Grado
The Sons & Heirs / German Schauss / Educator
Alfredo Grado is a sought-after bassist and educator. His love for music began at an early age in his native El Paso, TX. Alfredo quickly made a name for himself by sharing the stage with local blues, rock and gospel artists. After studying at Musician’s Institute, he enrolled at Berklee College of Music. During his Boston years, Alfredo performed and recorded with singer-songwriter Michelle Lewis, Berklee faculty and many others. In 2004, he began recording with shred guitarist, author and clinician German Schauss on his debut album, The Lightspeeder, and appeared with him at the NAMM Show and Berklee Summer Guitar Sessions. In addition, Alfredo holds a B.A. from Berklee, and a Masters in education. He's a faculty member at West Hartford Public Schools, as well as a private bass and guitar instructor.
